The Egyptian Ministry of Transport, through the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, has announced the completion of the main construction works for "Khour Mayou Bridge," one of the most significant engineering achievements within the first line of the high-speed electric train network connecting Sokhna, El Alamein, and Matrouh. The total length of the concrete works is 550 meters, and the bridge is 14 meters wide, consisting of 9 axes. The superstructure was constructed using a moving gantry system at a height of 8 meters above a platform reaching 80 meters, with a length of 340 meters. The bridge also includes three axes of steel girders, each 60 meters long, with a total weight of 2250 tons, to be constructed using the deck pushing system.
